For beach-themed birthday parties, especially Under the Sea. Best for older kids; younger kids struggle with sand getting in supplies. Permits required for organized groups.
Polliwog Park
The neighborhood's family-anchor park. Big duck pond, picnic shelters, playground. We've hosted many outdoor classes and parties here.
Sand Dune Park
Iconic Manhattan Beach landmark. Great for older kids' nature-themed events. Adjacent grass areas work for setup.
Live Oak Park
Quieter, family-friendly, good for smaller toddler sessions.
Manhattan Heights Park
Nice neighborhood park up the hill, less crowded than Polliwog.

The neighborhood's mix of original beach bungalows and newer luxury homes provides great variety. Hill section homes typically have larger backyards; Sand section homes are more compact but often have great outdoor decks.
