Venice Beach
For beach-themed parties, especially Under the Sea. Best for older kids; the youngest end can struggle with sand getting into supplies. Permitted gatherings only for groups over 25.
Oakwood Recreation Center
Family-friendly, playground-adjacent, less touristy than the boardwalk area. Better for actual kids' parties.
Westminster Park
Quieter neighborhood park, good for smaller toddler sessions.
Venice Pier area
Occasional adult paint & sip events at golden hour with the pier as backdrop. Permits and timing matter.
Venice homes
Venice's mix of bungalows, modernist homes, and architecturally distinctive houses make for memorable settings. Lots of canal-area homes have unique outdoor space. Rooftops near the boardwalk are sometimes available for adult paint & sip events.
A few notes for Venice hosts
- ParkingVenice parking is genuinely difficult. For larger parties, communicate parking expectations on invitations or arrange a guest parking strategy in advance.
- Beach setupsIf you're booking a beach party, we'll need access to a parking spot near the setup area. We can't carry a full art studio across half a mile of sand.
- Sand and salt airBeachfront parties need a backup plan for wind. We bring weighted easels, but on very windy afternoons we'll recommend an indoor or covered backup.
- The creative communityVenice has a high concentration of artists, designers, and creative professionals. Many of our Venice clients are themselves art-aware — they're booking for the quality of the instruction, not just the entertainment value.
- Adult-event demandVenice paint & sip events outnumber kids' parties in our Venice booking history. The neighborhood's lifestyle skews younger and more event-oriented.
