Mar Vista Recreation Center / Mar Vista Park

The neighborhood's anchor park. Big open lawns, picnic shelters, playground, basketball courts. Great for outdoor classes and birthday parties up to 25 kids. The Sunday Farmers Market vibe means there's always something happening.

Marine Park

Just south, technically Santa Monica. Family-friendly with a playground and shaded picnic spots. We use this when we want a quieter park experience.

Penmar Park

On the Mar Vista/Venice border. Good for smaller parties and toddler classes.

Mar Vista backyards

Most of our Mar Vista work is in backyards. The neighborhood's mid-century homes and bungalows often have generous outdoor space and great natural light. Particularly common around Mar Vista Hill and the streets between Venice Blvd and Palms Blvd.

Mar Vista Farmers MarketSunday mornings get busy around the park. If you're hosting a Sunday-morning party near the park, plan around farmers-market parking.
