Popular Pasadena venues

Pasadena is one of our favorite neighborhoods to host in. The combination of older homes with character, mature gardens, and beautiful public parks makes it ideal for art parties.

Garfield Park (South Pasadena)

One of LA's prettiest neighborhood parks. Mature trees, big lawns, picnic areas. We love hosting outdoor classes and parties here.

Memorial Park

Central, easy parking, family-friendly. Good for mommy & me classes and smaller parties.

Brookside Park

Larger park with shaded areas and room to spread out. Good for bigger parties (15+ kids).

Lacy Park (San Marino)

Beautiful, gated park for residents and approved guests. We've worked with families who hosted private parties here.

Lower Arroyo / The Arroyo

Nature-adjacent, scenic. Great for older kids and outdoor painting classes.

Pasadena backyards

Most of our Pasadena work happens in backyards. Character homes around Madison Heights, Bungalow Heaven, the Playhouse District, and Hastings Ranch are perfect — outdoor space, beautiful settings, plenty of indoor backup if weather turns.

A few notes for Pasadena hosts

  • Garden partiesPasadena's older homes often have gorgeous backyards that make stunning settings for art parties. We coordinate with the natural surroundings — flowers, trees, and existing features become part of the aesthetic.
  • HeatPasadena summers run hotter than the West Side. For July/August parties, we recommend morning sessions (10 AM) or late afternoon (4 PM after the heat). Outdoor parties in 95°+ aren't ideal.
  • Rose Bowl eventsIf you're hosting near the Rose Bowl on a parade or game day, traffic and parking will be intense. We'll need extra arrival time.
  • Permits for parksPasadena parks generally allow gatherings under 30 people without a permit. Brookside-area larger gatherings: check with the City of Pasadena permit office.

Frequently asked questions

Do you serve all of Pasadena?
Yes — Madison Heights, Bungalow Heaven, Hastings Ranch, the Playhouse District, Lower Arroyo, Linda Vista, all of central and south Pasadena.
Is Pasadena within your free travel zone?
Pasadena sits right at the edge of our 15-mile free zone. If you're in central or south Pasadena, you're typically within range. Far north Pasadena or La Cañada Flintridge may include a small travel fee — we'll confirm in the quote.
Do you do parties in San Marino?
Yes — San Marino is within our service area. Lacy Park parties have permit requirements we can help navigate.
How far in advance should I book in Pasadena?
4–6 weeks for weekends. Spring (March–May) and early fall (September–October) are our busiest in Pasadena because of garden party season.
Do you handle outdoor parties in Pasadena heat?
We strongly recommend morning sessions or late afternoon for July/August. We don't run mid-day outdoor parties in extreme heat — for the kids' safety and supply integrity (paints get weird in heat).
Can you accommodate Spanish-immersion school families?
Yes — Elena teaches in English or Spanish at no extra cost. Several Pasadena families with kids in Spanish immersion programs book with us specifically for bilingual instruction.
