Friends painting at a sunset backyard paint and sip with a pink balloon arch and rosé — bachelorette setup

Why this works for a bachelorette

Most bachelorette plans either go too hard or go too tame. A paint & sip lands in the middle — it's something you do together, it photographs beautifully, and at the end every guest leaves with a painting that gets hung on a wall instead of thrown out at the airport.

It also works for the people in your group who don't want to be doing tequila shots at 2pm. No one has to opt out of a paint & sip. The maid of honor planning around someone's anxiety, someone pregnant, someone who flew in jet-lagged — they all just paint.

What's included

Every bachelorette paint & sip includes:

  • A 1.5–2 hour private session hosted by Elena
  • Step-by-step instruction matched to the group's skill level (mostly: zero)
  • All supplies — easels, canvases, paints, brushes, aprons, drop cloths
  • Full setup and cleanup — your Airbnb host will never know
  • A custom theme designed around the bride
  • Take-home paintings for every guest

You bring: the wine, the snacks, the venue, and the people.

Theme ideas

We can paint almost anything. A few that work well for bachelorettes:

The bride's portrait

Every guest paints their own version. Equal parts flattering and chaotic. The bride takes them all home.

The wedding venue

A quiet keepsake the bride will actually frame.

Pet portraits of the bride's dog

Surprisingly emotional, surprisingly funny.

Sunset silhouettes

Flattering for any skill level. Looks great in photos.

Floral abstracts

Pairs with rosé. Pairs with everything.

“Where we met” landscapes

For the guests painting it as a gift to the couple.

Have an idea that isn't on the list? Tell us when you book. Custom themes don't cost extra.

Where we host

We're fully mobile. Most bachelorette paint & sips happen at:

  • The Airbnb the group is already renting
  • A backyard in Santa Monica, Venice, or the Hills
  • A rooftop or patio at a private venue
  • A vineyard, beach house, or weekend rental within a reasonable drive

If you're booking an Airbnb specifically for the bachelorette, we can recommend places we've worked at before that have the right space and lighting.

Pricing

  • $65 per person
  • Travel within greater LA included
  • Custom themes included — no upcharge
  • Outside greater LA: small travel fee, quoted in advance

Most groups land between 8 and 14 painters. Larger groups are welcome — let us know how many so we can plan supplies and timing.

What people say

Best bachelorette I've ever hosted. Elena came to our Airbnb, walked eight of us through a guided painting, and somehow we all ended up with work that didn't look like the same painting. She's a real artist — you can tell.
Jennifer · Sherman Oaks
Did this for my mom's 60th. Twelve women, two bottles of wine, one calm Spanish art teacher who somehow made my aunt — who has never picked up a paintbrush — laugh harder than I've seen in years. Worth every dollar.
Christine · Culver City
Best decision I made for my daughter's 7th birthday. Elena set up in our backyard — drop cloths, apron-tying, the whole thing — and ten girls sat down and actually painted for ninety minutes straight. Real instruction, not a craft. Three of the moms texted me afterwards asking for her info.
Sarah · Pacific Palisades

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should we book?
Four to six weeks is typical. Peak season (May–September, plus December) books faster. If your bachelorette is sooner, ask anyway — we sometimes have last-minute availability.
Can the bride paint too, or does she just sit there?
She paints. Everyone paints. The bride usually paints herself, which is exactly as funny as it sounds.
What if some of our guests are terrible at art?
Most of them will be. That's the point. Elena teaches step-by-step, and everyone leaves with something they're proud of. The 'I haven't painted since middle school' people are usually the ones who light up the most.
Can we do this with wine, or is it BYOB only?
BYOB. We bring the art, you bring whatever you're drinking. Most groups do wine, prosecco, or a signature cocktail.
What if it's outdoors and the weather doesn't cooperate?
We'll work with you on a backup plan — usually moving inside or rescheduling. We don't paint in rain or wind.
Can we do this as a daytime brunch event?
Yes. Daytime paint & sips work just as well as evening ones, and the lighting is better for photos.
Do you travel outside LA?
Yes, with a small travel fee. We've done bachelorettes in Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, and Ojai. Ask us.
