How a suite gets made

  1. 1

    What the artwork should be

Your venue, the church, the street you met on, the flowers you chose, or your dog. We talk it through and settle on one subject that carries the whole suite.

  2. 2

    Palette and paper

Colors pulled from your actual florals and your venue rather than a catalogue. Paper stock, edge treatment, and whether you want wax seals or ribbon.

  3. 3

    The painting

Elena paints the original in watercolor. You see it before anything goes to layout, and you can ask for changes while it is still paint rather than a PDF.

  4. 4

    Suite and website

The artwork is built into the invitation, details card, envelope liner, and map — and, if you want it, a matching wedding website with RSVP and schedule.

  5. 5

    Print and ship

Printing is quoted per piece by quantity. You keep the original painting.

Pricing

Design and artwork are priced separately from printing, so you can take the files to your own printer if you prefer.

Carrying it through to the day

The same artwork can run onto menus, place cards, table numbers, signage, and thank-you cards — and if Elena is also painting live at your wedding, the invitation and the finished canvas come from the same hand. Mention it on the inquiry and we will quote the whole arc together.

Frequently asked questions

How much do custom watercolor wedding invitations cost?
Original artwork plus full suite design starts at $850 — that covers the painting, the layout of the invitation, details card, envelope liner, and map, and the print-ready files. Printing is separate, from about $8 per suite at a minimum of 50. A matching wedding website starts at $650, and booking the artwork and website together takes 15% off the pair.
How far ahead do we need to book?
At least 5 months before the wedding. The painting itself is not the long part — revisions, proofing, printing, and addressing are, and save-the-dates usually need to go out well before that.
Do we keep the original painting?
Yes. The original watercolor is yours, and a lot of couples frame it. That is part of why this costs more than a template: you end up with a piece of art as well as the stationery.
Can you paint our venue if we haven't been there yet?
Yes — venue photographs are enough to work from, and most couples send a mix of the venue's own images and their site-visit photos. If there is a specific angle you love, send that one.
Do you handle printing, or just the design?
Either. We can manage printing end to end and deliver finished suites, or hand you print-ready files to take to your own printer. Managed printing is quoted per piece once quantity and stock are settled.
What can go in the suite?
Invitation, details or information card, RSVP card, envelope liner, map, menus, place cards, table numbers, programs, and thank-you cards. The base price covers the core four; the rest is quoted as add-ons using the same artwork.
What's included in the wedding website?
The same artwork, your schedule, travel and accommodation, RSVP collection, and registry links — built to match the paper rather than sitting on a generic template. Guests should recognize it as the same wedding.
Can the same artwork carry through to the day itself?
That is the best version of this. The venue you painted for the invitation can reappear on the menus, the place cards, the signage, and the thank-you cards — and if Elena is also painting live at the wedding, the paper and the day are genuinely one piece of work.
Do you write in Spanish as well as English?
Yes. Elena is bilingual, and bilingual suites — Spanish on one side, English on the other, or a fully mirrored set — are straightforward. The wedding website can be bilingual too.
