Live wedding painting in Beverly Hills.

Hotel ballrooms, estate gardens, and rooms that were built to be painted.

Beverly Hills weddings tend to be indoor-forward and heavily designed, which suits this format well — the room itself is worth putting on canvas. The constraint here is never beauty; it is protocol. Venues run tight vendor lists, insurance requirements, and load-in windows, and the painting has to slot into that without friction.

Worth knowing before you set a ceremony time

Ballrooms are darker than they look

A room lit for photography and a room lit for painting are different things. Ballroom uplighting is usually warm and heavily colored, which reads gorgeous to the eye and skews every color mixed under it. We work under a small color-corrected lamp at the easel so the whites in a dress stay white. It is about the size of a book light and does not compete with your lighting design.

Beverly Hills wedding venues

Beverly Hills venues have the strictest vendor protocols in the city. None of it is a problem — it just needs handling in advance.

Greystone Mansion

City-owned historic estate with formal gardens and firm rules about what may touch the grounds. The venue's event conditions govern, and we set up wherever they permit.

The Beverly Hills Hotel

Crescent Ballroom and the garden terraces. Strong architectural detail, worth building into the composition rather than cropping out.

The Maybourne Beverly Hills

Rooftop and ballroom options. The rooftop gives you a skyline background; the ballroom gives you controlled light.

The Peninsula Beverly Hills

Intimate garden and villa spaces. A good fit for a smaller canvas and a tight, portrait-like composition.

Private Beverly Hills estates

Tented garden receptions are common. Tents are dim in daylight and warm at night, so the lamp comes either way.

Planning notes for Beverly Hills

  • COI and vendor paperworkMost Beverly Hills venues want a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured, sometimes weeks ahead. Send us the requirements as soon as you have them — this is the single most common thing left to the last week.
  • Load-in windows are realService-entrance access is scheduled and enforced. Setup takes about 45 minutes, so we ask your coordinator for a slot rather than assuming one.
  • Placement without blocking the roomIn a designed ballroom, where the easel goes is a design decision. We take direction from your planner — near enough to see the action, far enough not to sit in a sightline.

Beverly Hills questions

General questions about how live painting works are answered on the main live wedding painting page.

Will the easel interfere with our photographer or videographer?
No — we work from a fixed position at the edge of the room and do not move through the aisle or the dance floor. Elena introduces herself to the photo team on arrival so nobody is competing for the same angle.
Can you paint from the ceremony but have the canvas show the reception?
Yes. Most couples pick one moment as the subject — usually the ceremony or the first dance — and we build the scene from that, working from life plus reference photos taken on the night. We agree on the subject before the day.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. General liability coverage, with a COI naming your venue as additional insured on request.
